I logged onto joycemeyer.org this morning and listed to her talk on "Transition" There is 2 parts, so when you go to the website, be sure and look for both of them. You can just listen or watch online. Go ahead and click on the title and it will take you to her website. She has teachings you can listen to online, and of course her many books and tapes.

She has been an inspiration to me ever since I rededicated my life to Christ in 1994. Of course, she continues to impact my life with her teaching. I have some of her books, lots of her tape series.

She is blunt, to the point, a no-nonsense woman whom I greatly admire; and am inspired to be like.

Well, I cried myself to sleep, cried some more this morning... decided through Christ I can do all things. Of course that was through the Holy Spirit's encouragement, apologizing to God for trying to do things through my own power and not His. Asking for his forgiveness.

What came to my attention this morning was the lttle pocket book we had gotten through Cleansing Stream ~ Winning Spiritual Warfare: Steps to Freedom in Christ by Neil T. Anderson. In the back it has several scripture references and I'm reading all of them. Beginning with those listed first IN CHRIST I AM ACCEPTED ~

John 1:12 ~ I am God's Child

Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of GOD ~~

John 15:15 ~ I am Christ's friend

I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

Feeling like I've Failed

Feeling like I've Failed, not only myself, but God. Somehow knowing he forgives me doesn't seem to make me feel any better.

According to the Bible, which I'm supposed to live by... I am to pick myself up, dust myself off and continue on. I don't even feel like doing that right now. Maybe I'll feel like it in the morning.

Do You Know Where the Edomites are Today? Are they in Turkey? Afganistan?

I have read recently that the Edomites are in Afganistan ...

I have recently been drawn to the book of Obadiah in the Old Testament and have been reading it often. My question is where are the Edomites today?

The vision of Obadiah ~

This is what the Sovereighn Lord says about Edom~

We have heard a message from the Lord: An envoy was sent to the nations to say,

Rise, and let us go against her for battle~

See, I will make you small among the nations; you will be utterly despised. The pride of your heart has deceived you, you who live in the clefts of the rocks and make your home on the heights, you who say to yourself, 'Who can gring me down to the ground?'

Though you soar like the eagle and make your nest among the stars, from there I will bring you down,

declares the Lord.

If the thieves came to you, if robbers in the night~

Oh, what a disaster awaits you~ would they not steal only as much as they wanted?

If grape pickers came to you would they not leave a few grapes? But how Esau will be ransacked, his hidden treasures pillaged!
All your allies will force you to the border; your friends will deceive you; those who eat your bread will set a trap for you, but you will not detect it.

This company of Israelite exiles who are in Canaan will possess the land as far as Zarephath; the exiles from Jerusalem who are in Sepharad will possess the towns of the Negev.

Deliverers will go up on Mount Zion to govern the mountains of Esau.

And the kingdom will be the Lord's.

REVIVE ME, LORD, REVIVE ME !!!

Revival must first start from within yourself, then fan out to others. As I stated in a previous blog entry "Revive Us, Oh Lord, Revive Us" I am now praying a prayer for me personally. Because the Lord wishes to begin with the pray-er first, to see the committment they have. So, this is what I came up with...

Lord; Bring restoration of ME to you in your will & way of doing! Bring an overwhelming deep desire to ME for you, Lord. Revive ME, Lord, Revive ME!

Bring a sense or urgency to ME, Lord. Bring Revival to ME, Lord! That I may desire a deeper relationship with you! Go beyond the superficial to the supernatural communion with my LORD & SAVIOUR ~Jesus Christ! Revive ME, LORD, Revive ME!

I had always included myself in the prayer when I prayed it, but I wanted to let all of you know that. I KNOW without a shadow of doubt that my Revival has already begun.

Living By the Holy Spirit's Power

Galatians 5:16-23 NIRV

So I say, live by the Holy Spirit's power. Then you will not do what your sinful nature wants you to do.

The sinful nature does not want what the Holy Spirit delights in. And the Spirit does not want what the sinful nature delights in. The two are at war with each other. That's what makes you do what you don't want to do. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the authority of the law.

What the sinful nature does is clear. It enjoys sexual sins, impure acts and wild living. It worships statues of gods. It also worships evil powers. It is full of hatred and fighting. It is full of jeaslousy and fits of anger. It is interested only in getting ahead. It stirs up trouble. It separates people into their own little groups. It wants what others have. It gets drunk and takes part in wild parties. It does many things of that kind. I warn you now as I did before. People who live like that will not receive God's kingdom.

But, the fruit the Holy Spirit produces is love, joy, peace. It is being patient, kind and good. It is being fatithful and gently and having control of oneself. There is no law against things of that kind.

Life is full of choices; some good, some bad. If you have made the choice to become a Christian and have asked the Lord into your heart, then you are responsible to follow the laws of life he has set forth.

Just because it's in the old testament doesn't mean it's not applicable to you today! The old testament is there for us to learn from. The Lord is giving us the opportunity to learn from the mistakes of others. Yes, the Jewish people.

Just because the verses are in the old testament and the Lord is speaking specifically to the Jewish people. Does not mean that it is not applicable today. First to the Jews then to the Gentiles Paul said. So if you're not a Jew, then you're a Gentile and the same applies.

The Lord is no respector of persons. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Choosing to follow Christ, should not be taken lightly. Yes, it is a Choice. If you've choosen to follow Christ; then you must do so HIS WAY. That means you need to learn of him and his requirements in leading the Christian life. If you haven't been reading your Bible ... start. He doesn't expect scholars overnight; take an interest in what he has to say to you by reading his word. Say a short prayer before you start reading asking him to help you understand his word.

Oh, please remember to thank the Lord for all he has done in your life; good and bad, because without those experiences you wouldn't be where you are today!

Pretty serious stuff aye? I'd say so. Sometimes stepping out with God has you literally shakin' in your boots. When all is said and done tho you feel such relief that you said or did what God asked you to. Words cannot describe the feelings I have had during those moments. Shaking ... most definately. Did I want to do it, but God didn't ask me if it's what I wanted to do. Stepping out in faith is "never easy" you just know, that you know, that you know, it's got to be done.

The last time I did was a couple nights ago, I thought about it for awhile, I prayed; Oh, yes, you have got to pray for God's guidance and I threw in a request for strength too...lol

Ezekiel A Watchman : Ezekiel 33

First Ezekiel 33:1-6 NIV

The word of the Lord came to me "Son of man, speak to your countrymen and say to them: When I bring a sword against a land, and the people of their land choose one of their men and make him their watchman, and he sees the sword coming against the land and blows the trumpet to warn the people, then if anyone hears the trumpet but does not take warning and the sword comes and takes his life, his blood will be on his own head. Since he heard the sound of the trumpet but did not take warning, his blood will be on his own head. If he had taken warning, he would have saved himself. But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes the life of one of them, that man will be taken away because of his sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for his blood.

Heavy responsibility to be a Watchman; especially called by God to do so. However, it's not just the watchmen who have that responsibility, you do too, as a child of God. There are those people called specifically to be a Watchman; but then there are the responsibility of fellow christians to be mindful of each other. More about that later.

Give these verses some careful thought, I have a NIV Study Bible, concordance, etc.... Of course the all resourceful Internet, lol

Blow the Trumpet ...

Joel 2:1

Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy hill. Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming. It is close at hand ~~

**NOTES: Trumpet. See v. 15 Made of a ram's or bull's horn, it was used to signal approaching danger (Jer. 4:5; 6:1; Eze 33:3). It's sound brought trembling (from fear) to the people (See Am 3:6). Zion See v. 15; 3:17. Here, parallel to God's "holy hill" (See note on Ps 2:6), it refers to Jerusalum as the capital of the nation.

Joel 2 verse 15: Blow the trumpet in Zion, declare a holy fast, call a sacred assembly.

Jer 4:5 Announce in Judah and proclaim in Jerusalem and say: "Sound the trumpet" throughout the land! Cry aloud and say: Gather together! Let us flee to the fortified cities!

Jer 6:1 Flee for safety, people of Benjamin! Flee from Jerusalem! Sound the trumpet in Tekoa! Raise the signal over Beth Hakkerem! For disaster looms out of the north, even terrible destruction.

~~NOTES: I have made you a Watchman. In ancient Israel, watchmen were stationed on the highest parts of the city wall to inform its inhabitants of the progress of a battle. The prophets were spiritual watchmen, relaying God's word to the people (see Jer 6:17; Hos 9:8; Hab 2:1) Ezekiel's function as a watchman was not so much to warn the exiles of the impending doom of Jerusalem as to teach that God holds each one responsible for his own behaviour. Assumption Vs. Faith

You can only grow in your understanding by being accountable to others.

By having committed Christians walking close to you. They become a safety net to keep you from presumption and deceit of the heart.

You have to hold back your natural gifting to ensure God is the one guiding you.

This is the most challenging aspect of a walk with God.

It's the countdown to the Superbowl, are you ready? My husband is a huge football fan.

The Prayer of Faith

He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain on the land, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.

All I know about what is to follow is it came to me one morning during my time with the Lord; I am to pray this everyday and have been doing so since 11/10/06.

Lord;

I have been running this through my mind for quite some time ... and have recently prayed about it... I believe I'm going to start a newsletter with topics of interest to those who are beginning, in the middle of, or advanced in their walk with Christ.

This newsletter will be specifically designed for those desiring a more intimate walk with God. It will be EASY to understand, down to earth ...

It will begin in approximately 45-60 days. So, at least by February 20th or earlier. I have an idea for a name, but would be interested in hearing from others.

Here is what I would like to include: Topical Bible Study; Articles; Testamony's ~ stories of what Christ has done in lives; Jokes/Stories

I recently received an email that made my spirit jump for joy and my heart sing! Needless to say our steps, my steps, are ordered by the Lord and I'm not going to be sharing what I had previously written about. Not that I won't, just not right now.

This email I received came from my mother-in-law; Sally. It expressed so perfectly my desire to be close to God, my desire to know Him intimately that I just had to share it with you:

Dancing with God

When I meditated on the word Guidance, I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word. I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing.

When two people try to lead, nothing feels right. The movement doesn't flow with the music, and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky. When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead, both bodies begin to flow with the music. One gives gently cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back or by pressing lightly in one direction or another. It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully. The dance takes surrencer, willingness, and attentiveness from one person and gentle guidance and skill from the other.

My eyes drew back to the word Guidance. When I saw "G": I thought of God, followed by "u" and "i". "God, "u" and "i" dance." God, you, and I dance.

As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust that I would get guidance about my life. Once again, I became willing to let God lead.

My prayer for you today is that God's blessings and mercies be upon you on this day and everyday. May you abide in God, as God abides in you. Dance together with God, trusting God to lead and to guide you through each season of your life.

My Cleansing Stream

Well, like my husband, I want to thank God for everything He has done in our lives, and continues to do in our lives. However, this weekend stands out most right now...

The past couple of days at Cleansing Stream have been painful & exhausting, but oh, it hurt sooo good! Like my husband has said, I've gotten closer to God than I would ever allow myself to get.

Being a former Marine...Pain is Good, Extreme Pain is Extremely Good! Believe me this was extremely good for me and my relationship with God! You find out that even things you hate about yourself...releasing them to God is such a relief!

As Vince has said (my Husband), things come out that I thought I had hidden pretty good, but God knew. There's not that much that can be hidden from Him! He can take care of it, you just have to tell Him about it.

I have been released from shame, self-condemnation, guilt, self-rejection, self-hatred; notice there's a lot of self in there! Thank God, I have been delivered from myself! lolol

A lot of it had to do with events that happened in my past before I began my walk with Christ, and even some that began after I started my walk with Christ, even so, it's taken care of now! Thank God!

Vince and I have a stronger relationship with each other and with God. We have begun new habits...puting God first in our lives! Unique concept, huh??? lolol

A nasty man is barking orders to his guards. He feels threatened by the whispers... of someone new coming to take his place and he wants to ensure this imposter gets caught. So he tells his men to nab him when he arrives.

He will be easy to identify since he will be a man of great affluence and influence. So his men stationed themselves all around the city, looking for a well-dressed man, but they see no such man.

When God sent His Son into this world, the "important" people didn't recognize him.

The lowly way that Christ entered this world ..... no fancy clothes, no hoopla to speak of. A bed of hay, Angels announced his birth, and only a few shepherds were awake to hear the news.

The Humbling Power of Christmas

Many people today have the "nasty" mans values. Impressed only by fame and fortune.

Do you really think God prefer's great entrances with all the garbage that goes along with it?

The point is that Jesus ~~ took the low road into this world to teach us that the way to greatness starts when we lay down our reputations, humble ourselves, and become servants.

I pray we all find a place to "Fall On Our Knees" and discover once again the humbling power of Christmas.

I apologize for my entry being so late. I have been very busy. As I mentioned my husband & I are taking " Cleansing Stream ". I had gone to a meeting on Prophecy & Healing for several evenings, and this past weekend I attended a class at Helena Healing Rooms.

I am going to the Lord in prayer about becoming an Intercessor for Helena Healing Rooms. In fact was looking at the web site earlier, and am seriously considering taking classes offered on line @ $25 each. There are 7 of them.

There is another class I'm looking into and praying about regarding Intercessory Prayer & Healing. It's total cost is $75. Your prayer would be very much appreciated.

I'm helping at church, we're looking into starting a Prayer Ministry. Anyway, your prayers would be helpful and appreciated.

My Husband "Vince" and I have been taking the "Cleansing Stream" class, if you have the opportunity, mention it to your pastor or take a look at their website for more information: http://cleansingstream.org

My last post was taken in part from our homework for class...I hope you found it helpful. They have a Discipleship course; recommended for couples to take together, preferrably. Although, I am interested in taking the course, will be checking to see about taking the class.

My Husband is not quite at that point in his walk with Christ yet. If you're an Intercessor, I highly recommend taking "Cleansing Stream". Getting to know God is very important in your walk, I know it is for me anyway. Spiritual Cleansing is especially important.

I'm going to be attending "Power of God's Word released in Prophetic Ministry and Healing through word and song". At a church located in our city, offered by PrayerNet Ministries this week beginning 10/11. From what I understand, Prophesy is an importand part of Intercession, not necessarily, but it's something I'm of course, willing to check into. Don't want to leave undone what may be of value.

One of my friends at Church, on the church counsel, told me of a course being offered by Helena Healing Rooms for Intercessors/Pray-ers and I'm looking into that as well. Vince and I have been going to Helena Healing Rooms for the past month or so. You'd be amazed at the difference it has made in my husband since his last seizure, the healing that has taken place has been wonderful! We'll be going tomorrow, I'm excited!

God is doing miraculous things in my life, the joy is overwhelming! I'm sitting here grinning from ear to ear! lolol

Know the Lord... Test the Word

You do know that your words are seed, don't you? These seeds are planted into your soul, which is the soil of everyone who hears them. Do you know you can speak words that bring life instead of death? Words that bring blessing instead of cursing? How? How do you speak words of life? It begins by knowing God.

Read John 10:1-6, 14, 27. Specifically pay attention to verse 4.

Why do the sheep follow the shepherd?

The sheep recognize the shepherd's voice because they know him. They spend a lot of time with him and know he is there to take care of them and protect them. Jesus is the Good Shepherd. He makes it clear that this applies to his sheep as well. Growing in your relationship with Jesus you will come to know him more intimately, recognize his voice more clearly. This is what happens when you spend time with Him through reading and studying your Bible and prayer.

When a close friend or family member calls you on the phone, do you recognize their voice? Why?

Tell him you would like to know his voice better.

When you hear a word or words spoken aloud or as thoughts in your mind, you can question the source, in fact you should. In other words, test the seed. Before you decide whether or not to receive it, because you don't have to. Before you speak or personally receive it. This is why it is so important to know the Lord. The Lord will not speak anything that contradicts what he has already put in His Word. Therefore, you can test the words you hear to see what kind of seed they are. Words can come from your own flesh; they can come from Satan; or they can come from God.

Read John 8:44 What does it say about the nature of Satan's words?

How does this help you to discern the source of the words you hear?

I am GRATEFUL, God, that I have finally come to realize your purpose for me.

Just when or how this came about I can't say. It wasn't sudden and dramatic, the way it happened to Paul on the road to Damascus, or Peter Marshall with his experience on the Scottish moors.

There have been no visions, no voices, no letters written in fire upon a wall saying: "Do this." "Do that." "This is your reason for being."

No, my search for you and for the meaning you had for my life has been uncertain, groping, erratic, filled with accidents, false goals. Sometimes I seemed to sense that purpose, clearly see it; but it vanished like a mirage in the harried, often cruel business of everyday.

Yet, somehow you keep track of your floundering creatures. Maybe because life is so filled with defeat and heartbreak, we find ourselves turning to you, yielding ourselves to your will, fighting less furiously for selfish, often empty goals. And when this happens we find that you have turned our sufferings and our failures to little stepping-stones.

Looking back, we see them. These rocks which gradually, all unknown to us, you have been shaping to lead us toward our purpose.....And we have been following! However blindly, however zigzag the course, yet we have been moving toward it.

And looking about, we see there are results. There are signals, heartening little affirmations, unexpected proofs.

However humble our circumstances or undramatic our talents, our true purpose has been revealed. We were meant to make this particular contribution to the world.

And so we must do it well. Do it with faith and patience, with all our strength and passion. And in so doing discover who we really are.

Showing Me Purpose

Isaiah 48:17 This is what the Lord says ~

Your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am the Lord your God,

who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.

Isaiah 48:12-19 " Listen to me, O Jacob, Israel, whom I have called: I am he;

I am the first and I am the last. My own hand laid out the foundations of the earth, and my right hand spread out the heavens, when I summon them, they all stand up together.

" Come together, all of you, and listen: Which of the idols has foretold these things? The Lord's chosen ally will carry out his purpose against Babylon; his arms will be against the Babylonians. I, even I, have spoken; yes, I have called him. I will bring him, and he will succeed in his mission.

" Come near me and listen to this:

"From the first announcement I have not spoken in secret; at the time it happens,

I am there. "

And now the Soveriegn Lord has sent me with his Spirit.

This is what the Lord says ~ your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. " I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go. If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river, your righteousness like the waves of the sea. Your descendants would have been like the sand, your children like its numberless grains; their name would never be cut off or destroyed from before me."

I know it's been about a week since my last post. I've been quite busy, with the Lord, however.

My husband and I began the "Cleansing Stream" class. We have been working on our assignments, we're behind, but pushing forward.

I have been praying heavily for people who have emailed me for prayer, as well as, my pastor and church family. Praying with my husband, and praying for leaders in government.

Our country, all officials within our government do need our prayer. I encourage you to begin prayer today.

1 Corinthians 1--What does this Chapter mean to you?

We will be going to the Healing Rooms today for prayer. Hopefully, when I return this evening I will write again.

I found these pages in an old notebook, and have decided to share them with you. They are prayers I made a few years ago or several years ago, there is no date on them. I have more, and maybe as time progresses I'll share those also.

You are so precious to me. You are as a precious gem; a diamond, a ruby, emerald, or even the finest pearl.

This is why I sent my beloved son, Jesus, to shed his blood for you on Calvary.

When you cry, I cry; when you hurt physically or emotionally and are crying in agony -- I am there crying with you, holding you in my arms crying; Just say my name -- I'm here, I'm here, I'll say shhh! We will fix it, you can't, but oh, I can! It brings me so much joy! That you have finally called on me to help you! I desire for you to call on me daily -- it grieves me when you don't. For I have the power to help you through that morning drive to work, being in the hospital with you, or for someone else -- I have the resources, the power to move heaven and earth (literally). I want to hear your hopes and dreams, your needs, and desires. I am there for you in the big mistakes and the small ones; to help guide you back to the straight and narrow pathway that is for my saints!

Ya know what we are, as Christians; God's work in progress. Either somebody said something to me or I did something; then a few days later as I had written a couple paragraphs and looked up some scriptures... Joyce Meyers "I'm Okay and I'm On My Way" came to my mind! So I guess my topic isn't original; I obviously needed to do more reading & studying ...

Accepting the Holy Spirit's leading -- I read the book of Colossians, meditated, re-read it, underlined scriptures and meditated ; again and again, and yet again I read Colossians, highlighting and underlining scriptures, meditating and meditating on what I had read. Then I read it, yet again, in my KJV and again in the amplified: Yes, I meditated some more on these words of Wisdom.

A Christian is God's Work in Progress

We, us Christians, are all, God's work in progress. If we will allow Him, only if we allow Him, God will transform us; minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day; from Glory to Glory. However, it is our CHOICE we must make!

John 3:16, Romans 5:17,18, Romans 8:1-4, 12, 13

Because we are a work-in-progress; we are subject to error, of making mistakes -- Praise God for our Lord Jesus who shed his blood for our mistakes, some big ones, as well as, the small one's

Are you close to God? Do you depend on God? Many claim the title "Christian", but ignore what Jesus teaches in the Bible. Which teaches "true" Christianity, becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ. What does it mean to be a "Disciple" of Jesus Christ?

Belief in Jesus is the requirement for eternal life. Matt. 7:21,22 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evil-doers!'

Belief REQUIRES action! Those that enter heaven are those that do the Father's will.

Loving God...Matt. 22:36-40 NIV "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commanments.

If we believe, we stop sin, and love God with everything we have in us, no matter how difficult it is in the flesh, we continually strive for this. Meaning: talking or praying to him regularly, reading, learning His Word.

Self-inventory looks at the passions and desires of your heart in order to determine if you are a Christian. These questions are not about your conduct, but about WHO you are. They look at your HEART attitudes.

Do you want to obey God? 1 John 2:3, 4

We know that we have come to know him if we obey His commands.

Do you love Jesus? 1 Corin. 16:22

If anyone does not love the Lord-- a curse be on him. Come, O Lord!

Do you confess your sins to God? 1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Do you love others? 1 John 4:8

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Do you love the world more than God? 1 John 2:15

Do not love the world or anything in the world, If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Is the fruit of the spirit obvious in my life? Gal. 5:22, 23

But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control against such things there is no law.

These are marks which indicate that you are spiritually alive. Marks of a Christian ~~

Becoming close to God is easy in one aspect, and difficult in others. I suppose it depends on the person. Seeking to know God, and learning how to know God is what I'm after. To keep step with the Spirit, live by the Spirit is easier said than done. Definately cannot depend on yourself, doing it in your own power is fruitless. Depending on God can be difficult when you're used to doing things yourself and extremely independent. Learning to be independent was a must for me after my mother's death in 1975. So, I have to now learn how to be dependent upon God.

REALIZE

We soon find it all but impossible to live the Christian life with our own strength and goodness. It is through God's strength that we know goodness. When we realize this, surrender becomes our priority. In seeking to unite our will with God's more fully, we don't want a fixed blissful union with him, one that is filled with passivity. Surrendering to Him means growth and progress. It is the freedom of moving forward with and through him, so that each of our relationships and all of our work, worship, suffering, and play reflect what he wants of us.

Being so indepent has made it difficult to walk out the Christian walk of life. Yes it is difficult to give up your control of things ( or what you think is your control). As I've come to know God, however, it does become easier to give up the reins. Especially when you're giving them to someone who has only your best interests at heart.

What makes it difficult is that I really didn't believe that was the case in my beginning walk with God. I suppose I was quite conceited, actually, I know I was. I've never thought of myself as conceited before, and would never have used the word to describe myself. However, I thought I knew what was best for me in my life. Then I find out that it's not my life at all, but his. "We were bought with a price, Christ's death on the cross." That his death is the price he paid for me.

I guess I'll have to finish this later, it's time for getting ready for church. This afternoon we're having a friend come over for fellowship and food. My Husband & I are going to be involved with "CelebrateRecovery.com" in our church. So, until late this evening or tomorrow morning...

Do you know God? You do know of Him? You do know about Him? But, do you know Him? That seems to be my mission right now, is seeking to know God more intimately, passionately, reverently. Maybe you'd like to join me in my quest to know God?

The invitation is open to anyone and everyone who would like to learn how to know God, as I explore the traits of his character which from what I understand is listed in Galatians 5:22-25 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

Quite a list, huh? Is it a mountain too tough to climb? I don't think so, for we are to strive to become like Jesus. Don't you think God knew how difficult the task would be before he gave the instructions? I believe he knew exactly how tough it would be, that's where depending on God comes in; we're not supposed to rely on our own human abilities to arrive at this level.

Notice in the verses above it says ...have crucified the sinful nature... That I believe we are to do on a daily basis.
